As a radiographer patient safety is an essential part of the scope of practice that cannot be taken lightly. This essay will look at a scenario where patient safety is compromised and the effect this can have on a career. As a student she would have some knowledge in how to assess the stability of a patient, possessing decision making skills that aid in picking the best technique to carry out an examination. The Practice Educator states the student had up-to-date manual handling training, so would be able to assess the patient competently.
